Thank you so much for dropping by.

Hello!

Welcome and Namaste :D

Let me give you a quick run down of what you can find here.

You can watch the 6 minute video above or continue reading…or both ;)

Free Online Yoga Classes

There are over 80 audio yoga classes on the site. They range from basic yoga/beginner yoga classes to more advanced yoga practices. The length of the classes also varies. Classes can be from 45 min to 90 minutes. The average class runs about 75 minutes.

You can find those classes easily via the categories on the side bar, as they’ve been split up for greater accesibility. Each class has it’s own post, that begins with a small intro article, a link to the mp3 file, which you can download or stream directly from your computer or mobile device and the corresponding sequence of classes highlighted by pictures.

Yoga Podcast and Yoga Podcast iPhone App

You also do not have to come to this site to get my classes. You can go to iTunes and search for Elsie’s Yoga Class where you will find a way to subscribe to my podcast for free, as well as my iPhone/iPod Touch app, which is $3.99. My podcast app simply gives you greater accesibility to have all my classes available at the click of a button (if you are connected via wifi or via your cell network) plus I add extra content, such as PDFs of the class sequences including pictures and relevant videos.

Yoga Product Reviews, Resources and Conscious Affiliates

In the site you will also find a growing catalogue of yoga resources, such as yoga product reviews, from clothing to books, to yoga accessories. These reviews are not only written by me but also you guys, so if you happen to have a product that you adore, please feel free to send me a written or video review and I will gladly post it! You will find information of how to submit your own review right HERE .

I am a firm believer in supporting companies and products that not only offer great services but also embody conscious and sustainable practices. I choose to deepen relationships with these companies and am proud to call them my sponsors or affiliates. You can learn all about them here.

Unique and Inspiring Yoga and Lifestyle Programs

Elsie’s Yoga Kula is growing a lot. I’m creating new yoga and lifestyle programs which will empower you to live a more committed and meaningful life. Some of the content is all created according to what you desire, such as restorative classes, breathing practices, shorter classes, stuff like that, so if you are browsing around and would like something specific, leave me a comment or send me an email @ eyogaclass AT gmail DOT com or even call me at my voice feedback line 310 651 6238. In order to stay abreast of all this information please feel free to subscribe to my email newsletter.

Eyk is simply about building community. I often share articles, people, blogs, sites, and companies that inspire me daily, and I adore hearing from you guys!

Hi Elsie,

When i visit Pittsburgh PA I come to your class with Judy Lave on Saturdays. I will be in Pittsburgh PA this weekend and very much looking forward to your class.

I am wondering that in addition to taking your class would you be available for a private class, even if only for 30 min before or after class. I have stopped doing yoga because i keep reinjuring my upper back and shoulder with downward dog and cobra. And reinjuring my left hip with warrior two. It may not be yoga, but age or unrelated injuries. But i need to do yoga to maintain my posture and flexibility and other injuries. Unfortunately, even these basic poses are now out of my reach.

Please, let me know if there is a chance that i could have your attention to these specific issues/poses.

Thank you so very much.

Tunde

Hi Elsie!

I just want to let you know that I’ve been enjoying your yoga classes for about 2 years now. I subscribed to your podcast just before moving abroad to Colombia and then Brazil, and I think you’ve done a lot to keep me sane! The way you incorporate topics of the heart, of the self, into the yoga practice is really effective for me. I often finish your classes feeling very good about myself and the world around me. Thank you so much!

Hi Elsie!

I’ve been doing your classes for a couple of years now, and I just wanted to let you know how much I appreciate you and all the work that you put into your podcasts! I love knowing that as long as I have my phone (I love your app) I can get a great practice in no matter where I am!

I’m doing yoga teacher training now, and one of my teachers asked me about teachers who really inspire me and you were one of the first peole to pop into my head! That’s when I realized what an important part of my life you’ve been and how silly it was that I’d never told you that. So, thank you, thank you, thank you! You are truely appreciated :)

Thank you so much Kassandra for your words of encouragement :) I’m trying, I’m trying! You know the last class I recorded outdoors (which is what it says on the intro) and then *poof* disappeared. Ugh.

*shhhhhh* I ended up recording it again at 1am in our bathroom!!! Talk about crazy places to teach yoga! *muah*

Hi Elsie,
I am a big fan of your podcasts, including the mudra moments that you did with Hilary Rubin.
I manage and teach at a studio in Easton PA and we would love to highlight our classes as well as make them accessible to traveling students and outside of the studio by podcasting. The quality of the sound of your podcast is fantastic. Would you mind sharing the products/tools that you use? Microphones, software, etc?
Thank you very much, Namaste’

I liked your yoga podcasts so thought I would buy the Elsie’s Yoga iPad app. This seems to be the only way I can let you know that it seems to have a totally frustrating bug. While the “episodes” option clearly shows in your Apple Store screen shots, it doesn’t exist in the app itself. I’ve deleted and re-downloaded it, but I cannot find anywhere to view any other episode than the most recent one which appears when the app launches. I don’t want to have to leave a poor review on the app store, especially if there’s some super-secret way to access episodes that I don’t see. Help, please.

I remember the way teaching felt from teaching chemistry at university. I remember the way energies shifted in response to my own and what I did to modulate the atmosphere and engagement in the lecture hall. Yoga is different though, it is a much more visceral energy, much closer and unfiltered through the intellect.

Elsie, thank you so much for your podcast. As a stay at home mom with three kids 5 and under, and a husband working two jobs and going to school, I don’t get out to exercise much these days. Your podcast has been an absolute blessing to me since my third was born. I have felt so frustrated at my inability to get out and exercise like I have always done in the past. Your podcast has been such a blessing during this new phase of my life. I try to do one of your classes at least two or three times a week while the baby is asleep — they refresh me, challenge me, and strengthen me physically and emotionally so much. Thank you! Thank you! Thank you!

You really make it seem really easy with your presentation but I
to find this topic to be actually one thing that I feel I would by no means understand.
It kind of feels too complex and extremely huge
for me. I’m looking forward on your subsequent post, I’ll attempt to get the cling of it!

Good Article on Yoga instruction regardless of the location!
I believe coaching is very important personally! Health Coaches are knowledgeable advisors who provide ongoing support and guidance as you set goals and make sustainable changes that improve your health and happiness. As your Health Coach, I will listen carefully and help you to navigate the world of contradictory nutrition advice to determine what changes are necessary for you.

Hi Elsie,

I love your yoga classes. I enjoy yoga that is physically challenging and that also resonates with my soul, gets me thinking, feeling… and your classes are the perfect blend!
I’ve been listening to you for a couple of years now. I’ve referred you to many friends who’ve also enjoyed doing your classes.
I recently moved to a new city and have had time to myself – I feel blessed, yet I was feeling sluggish as I had not worked out in a while. Your classes are exactly what I needed to kick start my practice again.
Thank you so much!
I just subscribed to your newsletter, but wanted to let you know I think the link to comment is incorrect – I think it’s missing the “s” at the end of elsie – so when I tried to comment as the email asks, I get an error.
All the best to you! I look forward to your next online yoga class!
Cheers!
Karina

I did your Intermediate 30 minute yoga class to recharge today. It was the first time I have done one of your routines. Now that I’m feeling relaxed and empowered, I’ll be a better mom and have a better day! Thanks for making the world a better place.

Yoga practice massages internal organs, thus improving the ability of the body to prevent disease. Additionally, an experienced yoga practitioner becomes better attuned to her body to know at first sign if something isn’t functioning properly, thereby allowing for quicker response to head off disease.

After I initially commented I appear to have clicked the -Notify me when new comments are added-
checkbox and from now on whenever a comment is added I receive four emails with the same comment.
Perhaps there is an easy method you can remove me from that service?
Appreciate it!

Hi Elsie
I have been practicing with you via your Podcasts for a couple of months now and I wanted to thank you for sharing you knowledge and love with me. I just returned from a year away at a therapeutic centre in Holland called the Humaniversity where I did lots of intense self development stuff :) it was fabulous. Returning home was quite a challenge and finding work again and dealing with practicalities was stressful for me. Thanks to my friends my beautiful wife Amrita and your guidance I have settled in well and now have a great job, a new flat and we are planning a baby together.
I wish you all the best in your world and encourage you to continue sharing what you love because you are a great inspiration and teacher.
With love
Carl
