I have ventured in unchartered waters and I’m thrilled!!!!
So this is my 1st attempt at playing with video. Bad video quality (HD Camara on it’s way), iffy editing, but hey, I did it all myself! Yeay for iMovie. I kid you not, it’s a fantastic little program for newbies like me 😉
Anyway, so the stuff that’s in the podcast is some feedback that I sent to a fellow podcaster that I admire very much, Father Roderick of the Daily Breakfast, for he just started his own first video podcast called Healthy Catholic, and it inspired me to get my behind going on this stuff. I sent this info to him ’cause he’s been getting back into running, so this little video is just a couple of ways that you can stretch out tired feet 🙂

Hurray for iMovie!! I enjoyed watching it! Im still very new to editing my own video, so i have alot to learn!
I also love your feature on the feet! I cant stress enuff to my students how we always neglect our feet. This is my own little exercise in class:
Students, before their surya namaskars, stand tall iin tadasana. Then they do little on the spot jogs on their heels as they get the feel of what their heels feel like.
Then they do lil jogs on the outsides of their feet (outer edges), then the insides of the feet, then onto the balls of the feet.
So this is also like little massages they can do on their mat 🙂
Im abit of a freak with my feet as i try and get as many feet massages whenever i can! I love the threshold between pain and pleasure hehe!!

Ps, Im wondering how you can hold up the camera and talk at the same time. Doesnt your arms tire out? Must be all the chaturangas! 😉

about the holding of the camara, i only held it out for about 1 min, and my camara is not too heavy 😉 Although I could see how it could become a bit bothersome! Oh, and when I was in the studio, as I don’t have a tripod, i just propped it on some yoga blocks! Those guys are handy little things 😀
by the way I gotta try that whole little exercise to wake your feet up! sounds yummy!

I had to rehearse and awful lot 😉 Seriously one handed massage is totally hard to do.

Excellent first video podcast. You were fantastic. I teach a simple yoga class at my local YMCA, and I get a bit anxious before every class. I think maybe you had a bit of that going on too? Anyway it was really great, I look forward to future episodes.
Honestly Ron, I sometimes think I’m on hyper speed all the time 😉 I do get a little wound up, i was fired up, bouncing off the walls actually. Maybe a little cup of tea before the next one? 😀

About shoes… I would love to live without shoes because I hate confining my feet. I have bunions and fallen arches AND I run so this video clip was just what I needed. And I dig your legwarmers! (Did you knit them yourself?)
Ms. Stacey, I would love to knit my own legwarmers. i gotta say that, that may prove to be too much of an obsession though. i may get a little carried away, lol, not that I’m not already obsessed with the legwarmers already!
Thanks for the video! I have been running more regularly and my feet have been getting very tight and sore. I’m afraid I’ll end up with Plantar Fasciitis. The “toes tucked under” move should do a good job. However, I can’t seem to get a stretch on the first, seated foot stretch, which you state stretches the tops of the feet. In fact, my rear end doesn’t even sit on my feet. I’m worried about straining my knees or back if I lean back. Other ideas? Thanks again!
Hey Elsie, I am a total novice to yoga but want to do more of it. The video yoga classes are really helpful because I can see exactly what you are doing so we can follow along.. that picture is worth 1000 words!!
